ふるさと納税とは？
Furusato nozei is a program in Japan where taxpayers can choose to donate their taxes to any municipality they prefer.
「ふるさと納税とは、納税者が自分の好きな自治体を選んで自分の税金を寄付できる制度です。」
Normally, taxpayers pay their taxes to their own municipality.

As a token of appreciation, donors receive special gifts such as local foods or crafts.
